Manchester is probably most famous for its 2 world class football clubs, Manchester City and Manchester United. Founded in 1878, Manchester United is the older of the two clubs by a mere 2 years. Manchester United’s longest serving, and most successful manager, Sir Alex Ferguson managed the team from 1986 to 2013, and led them to win 38 trophies.
